Demolition of the south tower of the main UPMC Campus consisted of gut and disposal of universal wastes, and floor-by-floor demolition of the twelve story tower and two story below grade parking garage adjacent to operating and historic hospital structures that were to remain and be protected. 

The project required extensive coordination with the FAA due to the location of the active life-flight helipad.
